The DJ Guy is owned and operated by Ed Altounian of Howell, MI. We have been in business since 2000 and have over 8 years of experience DJing at nightclubs, private parties as host of a internet radio show and of course; weddings.

Ed originally became involved with the local music scene about 15 years ago and has done sound production for many artists in the Detroit area. He helped run a group for electronic based artists, called the Detroit Electronica Coalition for over five years. Ed organized and worked on their last compilation CD which won the "Best Electronic Recording" Detroit Music Award, for 2004!

Shortly after purchasing the first digital DJ unit, Ed entered a contest sponsored by the company that makes the product. Ed's entry was voted "Most Technically Advanced". The awarded prize? An additional, more advanced digital DJ unit!

In addition to allowing for a rapidly expanding catalog, the digital unit has allowed us to expand our offerings. In early 2007, The DJ Guy welcomed Ty Hover to its lineup of disc jockeys. Ty comes to us with several years of club experience and an unrivaled knowledge of eighties music. Ty is available for any event.
